Primeiro, via George W. Bush, coligido por Jacob Weisberg nos 5 preciosos volumes de George W. Bushisms: The Slate Book of Accidental Wit and Wisdom of Our 43rd President. Depois, Pieces of Intelligence: The Existential Poetry of Donald H. Rumsfeld (2009), no qual Hart Seely revela a poesia oculta nas declarações do Secretário de Estado da Defesa do acima referido W (“As we know, there are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say we know there are some things we do not know”), aliás, musicada pelo compositor Bryant Kong. Por fim, I Hope Like Heck: The Selected Poems of Sarah Palin (2011), antologia de 50 "found poems" extraídos por Michael Solomon dos emails da ex-candidata à vice-presidência, de quem, Jacob Weisberg também já publicara Palinisms: The Accidental Wit and Wisdom of Sarah Palin (2010).

"Nobody Knows" (“Nobody respects women like I do”) poderia ser uma esclarecedora síntese mas o refrão de "Rex" – pela voz do despedido Secretário de Estado, Rex Tillerson – põe todos os pontos claramente nos “i”: “I didn’t say he was a moron, I said he was a fucking moron!”

I HOPE LIKE HECK: THE SELECTED POEMS OF SARAH PALIN

"Not keen on wading through the 24,000 pages of Sarah Palin's recently-released emails? Help is at hand in the form of Michael Solomon, who has turned them into poetry.

Well, not all of them, obviously, but after some assiduous 'literary sleuthing' through the email trove, the executive editor of Byliner and former features director of The Daily Beast has 'discovered... language that was clearly intended to be poetry [and] the result is 50 previously unpublished poems by Alaska's comedic bard'. He's just published I Hope Like Heck: The Selected Poems of Sarah Palin".

One of Lyda's aides stopped me in the hall
To say the building was getting a kick
Out of my 'burnt toast' episode this morning
That caused the fire alarms to go off
For 20 minutes
And caused an evacuation.
She thought it was funny
I was cooking breakfast in the capitol
And burnt it.
I assured her
I was not in the building this morning,
I was not cooking breakfast here at any time,
And I did not burn any toast.
She looked at me warily,
I doubt she believed me.
