Just for the record: referida lateralmente a propósito das elucubrações do filósofo Gonçalves, a história das acusações de racismo formuladas por Sacha Frere-Jones contra Stephin Merritt poderá ser, agora, definitivamente arquivada. No documentário sobre os Magnetic Fields, Strange Powers (de Kerthy Fix e Gail O'Hara), Frere-Jones não poderia ser mais claro: "I was wrong about everything. I didn't deliver a letter, I just threw a rock through someone's window. That's the ending of a discussion, not the beginning of one. I wish I had done this differently. I have no real defence for my position". Ponto final.
