"I love Russian music and my favourite songwriter is Vladimir Visotsky. He wrote hundreds of songs and died very young in 1980. He was an amazing actor too, and from what I understand he played Hamlet in Moscow as part of an independent theatre. He was very controversial and lived very fast - alcohol, substances abuse - and travelled a lot, but he was very much of the people. The thing about Visotsky is that his lyrics were all stories. I grew up with the idea that that's what you do in songs, you do voices" (Regina Spektor à "Mojo" de Setembro)
