a indústria de saguão em estado de quase inocência primordial, o pacto de suspensão do "disbelief" esticado até às últimas consequências, o kitsch voluntário/involuntário derramado em cascata sobre uma colagem superiormente mal enjorcada de "footage" documental/etnográfica de tribos "exóticas", "wildlife" tropical (mas não necessariamente: atenção à fulgurante aparição do "alce da savana"!) e pin-ups - de atributos muito diversamente valorizáveis - em bikini: as Ulama, "white sirens" sanguinárias da selva africana. Ali mesmo ao lado de Las Vegas.
Na contracapa, um alerta: "CAUTION: This film feature contains scenes of real natives in their natural environments and nudity". Inteiramente pertinente: no contexto de Bowanga Bowanga! (e do seu complemento de "double feature", Devil Monster), a súbita colisão com o real e o natural pode chegar a ser intolerável.

(continuação)Portugal lá ia ganhando o Festival da Eurovisão. E talvez ainda venha a ganhar, mesmo depois dele ter terminado, a esperança é a última a morrer, neste tempo de Ronaldo!!
O que me espantou naquilo foi o Timbaland ter ganhado o festival. A canção era da Rússia mas a produção era dele. O tipo tem mesmo o toque de Midas. Sabe o que os ouvidos de hoje gostam.

Há um filme porno, já dos anos 90, com argumento semelhante a este Bowanga Bowanga! O filme chama-se "Safari Jane" e é óptimo.
Esqueci-me de dizer que o canto da tipa no Bowanga lembra o Kanimambo do grande João Maria Tudela.
